You Mean The World To Me..

No this is not a post for this month's discussion.I wanted to write this for quite some time..

But it stayed as just a draft..finally thought of penning it down.

Darlings I am really sorry for digressing from such a serious topic.

"Why don't you try this one too? " he said holding that beautiful skirt in his hand.

She looked at it and fell in love with instantly.The color purple was his favorite she knew.

She happened to glance at the price tag and her face fell.It was expensive and she didn't want to spend more money.Besides she had never worn a skirt ever before.She wasn't confident at all of carrying that look.

She always felt skirts are not for plump girls like her.So she told him, "I am very tired now..you made me try so many clothes".

"I know dear..but try this one na.."

His cute face melted her heart..so she said "OK let me see"

She wore it and his face lighted up with delight seeing her in that pretty skirt.

"Damn..she looks so beautiful " he thought.

She kept looking at herself in the mirror..she was always very judgmental about the way she looked in western clothes.

Probably that was the reason why she was hesitant to try out knee length skirts, halters et all.

He said,"Its very pretty.it suits you".But she had decided she won't buy it.The cost and her lack of confidence were holding her back.

So without buying that skirt they left the shop and were roaming around in that mall.

But she was still thinking about that dainty skirt.

He saw another store and took her for one more round of trials.

"Why is he so hell bent on making me try so many different types of apparel" ,she wondered !!

So she entered that shop along with him and was seeing some random stuff.

Her hands chanced upon a top..dark green in color.

It looked kinda different.She was keenly observing it.

She told him, "Where are its sleeves ?"

He said, "It has no sleeves..its a Tank Top"

*gulp*

She had never felt so embarrassed in her life.She was thinking

"Oh God,I have just made a fool of myself in front of him.What will he feel..i am such an ignorant fool"

He was thinking, "She looks so cute with that innocent face of hers..I wish she would try this out..it looks custom made for her "

He managed to coax her to wear it with a shrug and he was very happy on seeing her in that top. He said,”this would look very pretty with that skirt.”

He knew she had never worn such stuff before.

The reason he was trying to make her try all of that was not because he wanted to flaunt a HOT girlfriend.

It was because he wanted to make her Feel Beautiful, to make her Believe that even she could look sexy.

He wanted to get her confidence back in her.

But then she had decided she wouldn’t buy such stuff. She was sure she won’t be able to carry it off. So she managed to convince him that she had no interest absolutely in buying any of those and he had to give in to her decision.

She was still thinking deep in her mind, “I must have disappointed him. He wanted to see me in that dress. I wish I was slim like other lovely girls”

He was busy with his own thoughts,” How do I make her believe she can wear it. She looked like a dream in that outfit”

Thus they left from the mall. It was time to go home.

She was very excited. It was her birthday the next day. She was extremely happy that she would be spending her special day with her guy.

It was her first time away from home. It was her first birthday with him.

She had come all the way to meet him and be with him.

They came home. She got busy watching Prison Break. He had gotten her addicted to it. Half an hour before midnight he got busy doing random stuff.

She was wondering what he was he up to.

Well, suddenly cleaning an already neat room so late at night was definitely a weird sight for her..!!

She was waiting for the clock to strike 12..!!

Just when she was about to go and check what was he busy doing in the other room, he came back with a mischievous grin and said, “I have some important work here, so you will have to leave.”

Before she could utter even a single word of protest she was whisked away in his strong arms and taken to the other room

she was counting the seconds in her mind..at the same time the curiosity was killing her.

And then..at the stroke of 12..the door was slightly opened and he came in with a smile on his face.

She couldn’t  make out what was he hiding behind in the room..the lights were off..

He came forward and took her inside with his hand on her eyes..

When she entered..the most beautiful scene met her eyes.

The room was lit with candles and there was a dainty cake kept on the table with a lone candle glowing in the darkness.

She celebrated her special moment in his presence.

His actions had made her feel so overwhelmed…She couldn’t stop the tears from streaming down her face.

And just when she thought this was the best birthday she ever had..

He pulled her hands and took her to the other room.

“Your gift is waiting for you”, he said.

She had no idea what it could be..her senses were still numb..thanks to all the surprises he had showered on her..

She took the gift in her hands..and carefully opened the wrapping.

What she saw..left her totally flabbergasted.

Resting inside beautifully packed was her gift.

He had bought that pretty skirt and the lovely top for her.

She was lost for words.

She wore it for him.

He was successful in making her feel beautiful..

he was successful in making her fall in love…

with herself..
